The time required to validate and issue a wildcard SSL certificate depends on the validation level you choose. DV SSL certificates typically issue within minutes, while OV SSL certificates can take 1-5 days. These steps and tips will help guide you through the validation process.

DV SSL Certificate Validation

Domain Validated SSL certificates offer the most straightforward and simplified validation process, requiring only a single step to confirm the ownership of the registered domain by the individual or organization.

To complete the validation, the domain owner must prove that they own the domain that was submitted with the order.

The easiest method involves completing the verification with email-based authentication. Using this preferred method, we will send an email to the WHOIS registrar email address asking you to verify that you purchased a DV certificate. Once you positively respond to our email, the requirement is considered satisfied and the certificate can be issued within minutes of a completed order.

As an alternative to the WHOIS registered email, we can send the authentication email to one of these five pre-approved email addresses associated with the website domain:
