It’s been just over a week since we announced this exciting acquisition, and I’d like to take a moment to share more insights on what makes this such a significant milestone.
Entrust selected us for this opportunity based on our proven leadership, unmatched compliance expertise, and longstanding success in serving hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide. With a combined five chair/vice-chair positions in the CA/Browser Forum, Sectigo is the most engaged and influential certificate authority in the industry—no other CA matches our level of participation in shaping the future of digital security. Additionally, our dedication to customer satisfaction is reflected in our recognition as the undisputed CLM leader by G2 for seven consecutive quarters.
Unlike the acquisition of Symantec by DigiCert in 2017, we are only acquiring customer contracts, ensuring their success while maximizing compliance with industry standards. The acquisition is a testament to our strong, collaborative partnership with Entrust. What began as a successful reseller agreement has naturally evolved into this deeper relationship, built on trust and shared commitment to customer success. As we move forward, we will continue to work closely with Entrust to ensure a smooth, seamless transition for customers, providing them with the reliability, innovation, and support they expect.
Entrust customers have complete flexibility—they can continue purchasing Sectigo certificates through Entrust Certificate Services (ECS), fulfill their current agreement directly through Sectigo, or take advantage of our streamlined migration path to Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM). Within the next 90 days, we will be communicating further about our automated migration process. This carefully planned, methodical transition is designed to ensure a smooth experience for every Entrust customer independent of the route customers choose.
