45-Day TLS: shorter certificate lifespans everywhere

Google and Apple are leading major shifts by proposing substantial lifespan reductions from one year SSL/TLS certificates to potentially 45 days only.

While this might initially challenge some organizations, that haven’t focussed on certificate automation, the change will bolster security through more frequent updates.

At the moment both movements are in proposal phases, but make no mistake – change is on the horizon, and it pays to be proactive!
