How it Works
Starting May 26, 2022 all Sectigo SSL products will include a SiteLock bundle at no additional cost. The features included in this bundle will be on-by-default and apply to both existing and new SSL customers. Your customers will receive website monitoring, risk reports and email notifications when threats are detected during the life term of the SSL subscription. If/when malware or a vulnerability is discovered, SiteLock will also perform a one-time remediation service at no charge.
The Customer Experience
Purchase
Once a customer purchases or renews an SSL certificate through you and the domain is validated, a SiteLock account is automatically created for them.
Risk Score Report
Within minutes, SiteLock will scan the website and email a Risk Score report directly to the customer. If a threat is found, the customer can use their one-time remediation to fix the issue.
Daily Monitoring
Whether threats are found or not, SiteLock will perform daily scans to uncover any security risks. In the event a risk is detected, customers receive automatically trigered email notifications so they can take action to remediate.
Complete Protection
The one-time remediation services will be activated to address threats and clean the website. Once the bundled services are redeemed, customers can purchase additional remediation services or upgrade to a SiteLock protection plan from you at any time.

Specifically, all new & renewing DV, OV, EV SSL certificates will have this feature automatically enabled. Positive SSL, Instant SSL, Sectigo SSL will be included with this rollout. By default, any existing subscribed and active SSL’s will not receive the new SiteLock features, but this can be enabled on a partner-by- partner basis?
The workflow for the SiteLock scan takes place after the SSL validation is complete. For Domain Validated SSL, this is usually pretty quickly (a few minutes), while other SSL types (OV/EV) have some additional procedures at which time the SiteLock scan will begin.
The SiteLock scanning tool will never expire. All other SiteLock Free Bundle features, such as malware remediation and vulnerability patching, either expire one year from the date of the SSL purchase or are deactivated after their one-time redemption.
As a partner, we recommend contacting your account manager to enable the three additional SiteLock paid plans which can provide always-on protection services such as on-demand malware remediation that is based on each package's features and Time to Response time. Your customers can purchase any of these protection plans through a proper upgrade path. You can view details about these packages here. You can also work with your Account Manager to develop custom packages if needed.

With the SiteLock Free Bundle a customer’s website will benefit from a complete internal and external scan alongside a one-time remediation service. The internal scan will check websites files and databases whereas the external scan checks the first twenty-five public facing pages of the website for any stream for your online presence business.
Customers with the SiteLock Free Bundle will receive a series of emails which contain instructions on creating their account, website scan results and alert notifications when there is a security threat detected. These emails will guide the website owner on how to fix and protect their website. In the event a web threat such as hidden malware is uncovered, they’ll be able to utilize the one-time remediation service included in the SiteLock Free Bundle.
