Sales Engineer

Location: Roseland, New Jersey

The Sales Engineer (SE) is the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives, our channel partner network and pre-sales customers. The SE will take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our pre-sales customers and channel partners to help close deals by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers and channel partners either onsite, online, and via email/telephone.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide Proof of Concept service to pre-sales customers and help clients with planning and implementation of Sectigo solutions
  • Provide support and training to the channel partner network and respond to technical requests from channel partners
  • Work in a fast-pace environment under minimal supervision
  • Will provide software and network troubleshooting in complex customer environments
  • Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and future products
  • Share best practices with other SEs to enhance quality of service and efficiency
  • Provide product training and mentoring when required
  • Contribute to building the SE Readiness Program and develop subject matter expertise in assigned products and solutions
  • Willing to travel regionally for customers facing activities, as well as marketing and user group events
  • Channel feature requests to Product Management to enhance Sectigo products
  • Participate in alliance projects including building vendors’ and customers’ relationships


  • BS degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
  • Sales Engineering and/or professional services experience preferred
  • Experience working with various Microsoft software and systems, specifically Active Directory, windows platforms servers and station,
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), SSL , X509
  • Experience with IIS, Tomcat, Apache, F5 is preferred
  • Solid multi-tasking, troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities
  • Self-starter and quick learner with desire to continually learn new tools and technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients including administrators and C-level executives.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions
  • Knowledge of MS Windows and Active Directory, and Certificate Services is a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Exchange, IIS and SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge of PKI, SSL, X509
  • Experience with VMware vCenter and VDI
  • Network infrastructure experience

One or more of below certifications or training is desired:

  • VCP – VMware Certified Professional
  • CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional
  • MCSE – Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
  • Linux/Solaris/UNIX System Administration
  • AWS/Cloud Certification
