Sectigo Further Expands Technology Leadership Team

Sectigo announced that Edward Giaquinto has been named Chief Information Officer, Nick France has been appointed to Chief Technology Officer of SSL, and Robin Alden now holds the position of Chief Compliance Officer.

ROSELAND, N.J. – February 22, 2019 – Sectigo, the world’s largest commercial Certificate Authority and a leader in web security solutions, today announced that Edward Giaquinto has been named Chief Information Officer, Nick France has been appointed to Chief Technology Officer of SSL, and Robin Alden now holds the position of Chief Compliance Officer.

The appointments underscore the Sectigo’s commitment to innovation and services that enable enterprises worldwide to secure their identities, web presence, and connected devices, while complying with industry and government standards. In the last year, Sectigo has added veteran industry talent from Verisign, Symantec, Entrust, DigiCert, and GeoTrust, reaching nearly 250 employees worldwide.

In his role as CIO, Ed Giaquinto will oversee IT and support, leading initiatives around change control, onboarding, proof of concept (POC), customer communications, service, and innovation in operational practices. He is being promoted from VP of Information Technology for his proven track record with strategic planning and IT process development, gleaned from 30 years in the IT industry.

As CTO of SSL, Nick France will be responsible for the technology and practices necessary to operate Sectigo’s global Certificate Authority (CA) and related services. Nick previously served for more than 15 years as Sectigo’s Technical Security Officer. He is based in Sectigo’s UK office.

Robin Alden has been named Chief Compliance Officer, following several years in his role as CTO. Alden will guide Sectigo development teams in the advancement of new solutions and features that comply with important industry and government standards. Alden has served as a technology leader in the PKI industry since 2000 and is an active member of the CA/Browser Forum and the CA Security Council.

The new appointments join an already strong bench of technology executives, including:

  • Jason Soroko – CTO of IoT, who joined the company in November 2018 and leads the company’s continued innovation in the IoT industry by advancing the capabilities of Sectigo’s private trust certificate management.
  • Debs Debs-Faouzi – SVP of Operations, responsible for maintaining performance, availability, and security for Sectigo’s global CA and related services. Debs-Faouzi has held technology and customer-facing leadership positions in the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) industry since 2001.
  • Lindsay Kent – VP of Product Management, with more than 15 years of experience in PKI, cryptography, and authentication. Kent leads development of all Sectigo TLS / SSL and enterprise PKI products.
