NamesCon Global 2020 & Sectigo

Sectigo and I are excited to be attending NamesCon Global and sharing some industry-changing product news. We are changing the way our partners and the world should be thinking about SSL - creating differentiation that we can’t wait to share. We'll begin sneak peek conversations in Austin, and invite our partners and prospects to be the first to know the inside scoop.

January 29th through February 1st in Austin, Texas the world’s global leaders will convene in the city to buy, sell, discuss, and strategize about the future of domain names and website security.

Sectigo and I are excited to be attending the conference and share some industry-changing product news. We are changing the way our partners and the world should be thinking about SSL - creating differentiation that we can’t wait to share with you all. We are set to begin sneak peek conversations with our partners and prospects in Austin, and invite them to be among the first to know the inside scoop.

In between live auctions, speaker sessions, and networking, attendees might need a break, so I’ve put together a list of five walkable places to enjoy while visiting NamesCon Global.

Top Five Walkable NameCon Destinations

Small Victory Bar - 108 E 7th St, Austin, TX 78701
Maybe you just sold your portfolio of domains or signed a new distribution deal with the Sectigo Business Development team. Regardless, wins need to be celebrated and Small Victory Bar is the place to do it.

Pro Tip: newTLD (check out their .bar website) sighting

Stubbs BBQ - 801 Red River St, Austin, TX 78701
If you are in Austin, Texas and not devouring BBQ this would be a tragedy. Stubbs BBQ is walking distance from the conference and offers a full on Texas BBQ experience. If you are looking for a local favorite, la Barbecue is worth an Uber ride, but I’d highly recommend to check out their website for operating hours.

Pro Tip: Do not wear a white shit!

Voodoo Doughnut - 212 E 6th St, Austin, TX 78701
Their donut game is strong and the perfect reason to break your 2020 New Years resolution. Grab one of my favorites, Bacon Maple Bar, Portland Cream or the Voodoo Doll and you won’t regret the additional 360 minutes (per donut) you’ll need to spend on the treadmill to burn off this delicious treat.

Pro Tip:
It’s open 24 hours a day.

Museum of the Weird - 412 E 6th St, Austin, TX 78701
For the mere cost of $12.00, you can break away from the normal and experience a bit of Austin weird. Keep it Weird Austin has a long history of promoting small businesses. If shrunken heads, Fiji mermaids, and suits of armor get your juices flowing, Museum of the Weird scratches that itch.

Pro Tip: Stop by after dinner & drinks. The Museum of the Weird is open until 10:00-11:00PM!

Amy's Ice Cream - 2901 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704

The Austin Chronicle described Amy's as a "quintessentially Austin institution" which "dominates the local ice cream scene." With 350 flavors in rotation Amy’s Ice Cream will thrill ice cream officianados and deliver another great Texas experience. Grab a waffle cone, hand spun malt, or banana split in between NamesCon speaking sessions.

Pro Tip: Schedule 45-60 minutes for your visit as the line is often long.
